Alleguard in Anderson, SC is seeking a 1st Shift Head Cutter responsible for setting up and operating cutting machines and ensuring precise cuts. You will measure, load, and maintain quality controls on materials, while meeting production targets. The role requires physical stamina and ability to work in varied temperatures with occasional overtime.

Position: 1st Shift Head Cutter

Job Summary

Responsible for setting up and operating cutting machines and measuring products for accurate cuts.

Pay: $18 USD/hr

Schedule:

• 7am-3:30pm
• Flexibility/OT required depending on production needs

Responsibilities

• Set-up, load and unload machine.
• Cut all materials as required.
• Establish and maintain quality controls on product related materials.
• Ensures labels for boxes and bags are correct.
• Responsible for meeting production requirements.
• Performs routine housekeeping as required.
• Performs any other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Routinely performs overtime without extended notice.
• Assist in related department activities and perform related duties, as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to set up cutting machine.
• Ability to accurately cut materials in a timely manner.
• Ability to lead and unload machine.
• Ability to read and use measurement tools (tape measure).
• Ability to work productively with minimum supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in hot/cold temperatures and fumes.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a routine basis.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
