Job description

Shift Availability

Openings are available on 1st and 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Receives and follows work instructions, schedules, and priorities from supervisors, operators, and/or dispatch lists.
• Operates grinders, sanders, and related equipment to deburr, smooth, and finish parts to required specifications.
• Verifies correct quantity and quality of parts processed, ensuring conformance to work instructions and quality standards.
• Inspects parts for sharp edges, surface defects, and workmanship issues.
• Performs minor repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance on equipment; notifies supervision when additional maintenance is required.
• Participates in gauge calibration and inspection programs as required.
• Operates hand torches as needed for job duties.
• Moves materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material‑handling equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintains equipment, tools, and work area in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• Basic math skills required.
• Overhead crane experience preferred; training provided.

Physical Demands

The employee is required to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Job duties require frequent reaching, kneeling, and prolonged use of hand‑held grinders and tools. The position may require moving or transferring materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand‑up equipment. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
