Job summary

Allegiance Industries in Hampton, VA is seeking a reliable 1st shift General Cleaner to maintain clean, safe facilities in a manufacturing environment. Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Responsibilities include sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restrooms, trash, and basic floor care; you may move heavy items and report repairs. Must be able to follow directions and work independently.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks for long periods.
• Ability to detect safety hazards and report them to staff.
• Reliable transportation to the facility.
• Ability to follow schedules and commitments.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Clean buildings by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors and cleaning other surfaces.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Supply, clean and service restrooms.
• Move heavy equipment, objects or furniture.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Floor work such as steam cleaning carpets, applying wax, buffing.
• Other duties as assigned.
