Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is hiring a Forklift/PIV Operator for 1st shift. You will perform daily forklift tasks, stock management, and parts handling to support manufacturing operations.

The role requires a valid lift truck license or training, reading/comprehension skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Overtime may be required; competitive hourly pay is $20.60.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid lift truck operator's license or complete lift truck training.
• Willingness to learn the facility layout.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the AS400 system or willing to learn.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily safety check sheet on forklift.
• Load and unload parts or materials off trucks.
• Scan all parts in and out of stock locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep assembly lines and related departments stocked with the right parts.
• Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory.
• Abide by Willard safety policies and ISO standards.
• Ensure stock areas are neat and organized.
• Provide backup as needed in the department.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor or Zone Leader.

What You'll Do

As a Forklift/PIV Operator, you'll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You'll get to:

• Complete daily safety check sheet on forklift.
• Loading and unloading parts or materials off trucks.
• Scan all parts in and out of stock locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep assembly lines and associated departments stocked with the proper amount of parts.
• Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory.
• Abide by all SBD Willard safety policies.
• Follow all applicable ISO standards & procedures.
• Ensure all stock areas are kept neat and organized.
• Use proper radio etiquette.
• Provide backup as needed throughout the department as needed.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader.
