Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is seeking a Forklift/PIV Operator for the 1st shift (6am-2:30pm). You will load/unload, scan parts, stock lines, and ensure inventory accuracy while adhering to safety policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid lift truck license (or training), and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Overtime may be required; compensation is $20.00/hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid lift truck license or successful completion of lift truck training.
• Willingness to learn the facility layout.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn Janus scanning guns and procedures.
• Knowledge of AS400 or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily safety check sheet on forklift.
• Load and unload parts or materials off trucks.
• Scan all parts in and out of stock locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep assembly lines and related departments stocked with the right amount of parts.
• Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory.
• Follow Willard safety policies and ISO standards.
• Keep stock areas neat and organized.
• Use proper radio etiquette.
• Provide backup across the department as needed.
• Perform tasks as directed by Supervisor or Zone Leader.

What You'll Do

As a Forklift/PIV Operator, you'll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You'll get to:

• Complete daily safety check sheet on forklift.
• Loading and unloading parts or materials off trucks.
• Scan all parts in and out of stock locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep assembly lines and associated departments stocked with the proper amount of parts.
• Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory.
• Abide by all SBD Willard safety policies.
• Follow all applicable ISO standards & procedures.
• Ensure all stock areas are kept neat and organized.
• Use proper radio etiquette.
• Provide backup as needed throughout the department as needed.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader.
