Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Willard, OH is seeking a Forklift/PIV Operator for the 1st shift (6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday–Friday). You will load/unload parts, scan inventory, and keep assembly lines stocked while adhering to safety and ISO procedures.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid lift truck license, and strong reading/writing communication skills. Familiarity with AS400 or willingness to learn is a plus; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid lift truck operator license is required.
• Good reading comprehension and clear verbal/written communication.
• Willingness to learn facility layout and AS400 system.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily forklift safety checks.
• Load/unload parts or materials from trucks.
• Scan parts in/out to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep lines stocked with the right amount of parts.
• Follow safety policies and ISO standards.
• Use radio etiquette and assist as needed by supervisors.

What You’ll Do

As a Forklift/PIV Operator, you’ll be part of our team located in Willard, OH. You’ll get to:

Responsibilities / Authority

• Complete daily safety check sheet on forklift.
• Loading and unloading parts or materials off trucks.
• Scan all parts in and out of stock locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Keep assembly lines and associated departments stocked with the proper amount of parts.
• Avoid overstocking lines or departments with excess inventory.
• Abide by all SBD Willard safety policies.
• Follow all applicable ISO standards & procedures.
• Ensure all stock areas are kept neat and organized.
• Use proper radio etiquette.
• Provide backup as needed throughout the department as needed.
• Perform tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Zone Leader.

Knowledge of the AS400 system or willing to learn. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Able to work overtime as needed.
