Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler in Houston, TX to support warehouse operations. The role involves forklift operation, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay starts at $20 per hour with overtime and weekly pay; benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) are included. Training is provided, with PTO from day 1 and a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse environment and maintain professionalism.
• Must be punctual with good attendance.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy in picking, packing, auditing, and staging of products.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, bills of lading, returns).
• Provide support for automated packing systems during production shifts.
• Perform duties within contract performance guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
