Job summary

Owens Corning in Janesville, WI is seeking a forklift/shipping associate responsible for moving material inside the plant, staging shipments, and ensuring safe, accurate loading. You will interpret schedules, operate forklifts, inspect equipment, and maintain neat, compliant work areas while supporting production and shipping priorities. Qualifications

• Reads/interprets shipping schedules and creates correct stacks for shipping
• Pre-shift forklift inspection to ensure safety and compliance
• Able to lift to 50+ lbs and work extended hours including weekends

Responsibilities

• Reads/interprets shipping schedules, stages doors, sorts by length/width/customer/core type for correct shipping
• Stages for shipping once wrapped
• Conduct pre-shift forklift inspection for safety and compliance
• Fuel forklifts as required
• Provide safe forklift operation throughout the facility and follow safety SOPs
• Pull production wrap lines as required
• Consolidate orders for shipping
• Receive items and ship to customers
• Maintain accurate records and work order alignment
• Work extended hours or overtime as needed
• Replace pallets/runners to maintain safe environment
• Understand shipping documents and space requirements
