River Valley Holdings in Syracuse, NY is seeking a 1st Shift Fork Lift Operator. This full-time role involves safely selecting cases of frozen products, building pallets, and preparing freight for delivery to retail customers. Salary starts at $21.00 per hour with potential to increase to $22.00 within 90 days.

Hours are Sunday 8am-4:45pm and Monday-Thursday 6am-2:45pm. Candidates must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be able to lift 50 pounds while working in cold temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read and speak English.
• Able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Able to work in cold temperatures.
• Able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read order requirements and shelf locations.
• Ensure order accuracy while meeting productivity goals.
• Build and prepare pallets for shipping.
• Safely operate equipment to pick stock from shelves.
• Work with team members and supervisors for coordination.
• Perform additional duties as required.

The River Valley family of companies: River Valley Foods, Cavallaro Foods, and Empire Valley distribute a wide range of specialty dry and frozen grocery items and consumable products out of warehouses in Syracuse, NY.

Job Description:
Frozen Forklift Operatorsare responsible for safely and accurately selecting cases of frozen grocery products, building pallets, replenishing selection slots and putting away received freight for delivery to retail customers. The successful candidate is goal-oriented, able to work in a low temperature environment, and demonstrates dependability, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Wages:

• Starting rate of $21.00 per hour with increase up to $22.00 possible within 90 days

Hours:

• Sunday 8am - 4:45pm, Monday - Thursday, 6am - 2:45pm
