QubicaAMF Worldwide, LLC in Virginia is seeking a Floor Assembler I to perform repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and electrical products.

You will use hand and power tools, assemble parts, test and repair units, rotate workstations, and maintain a clean, safe environment. The shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., five days a week, with some overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hand and power tools preferred.
• Ability to work under moderate supervision.
• Attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Responsabilités

• Assemble parts, components, or units in specified relationships.
• Operate arbor presses and riveting machines during assembly.
• Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.
• Package assemblies for shipment or storage.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Rotate workstations as needed to meet production needs.
• Adhere to a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. shift with some overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary/objective

The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.

Essential Functions

• Hand and power tools are used to assemble parts according to product specifications.
• Assemble parts, components, or units in a specified relationship to each other.
• Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.
• Package assemblies as required.
• Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
• Achieve production efficiency and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Rotate workstations according to business and production needs.
• Adhere to work schedules. 6:00 a.m. to 230 p.m., 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. With some mandatory overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Supervisory Responsibilities
• The position will not have direct reports.

$17.50 - $22 biweekly

Physical Demands

Physical ability is essential in this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders to extreme heights and occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment with elevated noise, dust, and activity. The employee regularly works in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
