The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.

The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.
Essential Functions
- Hand and power tools are used to assemble parts according to product specifications.
- Assemble parts, components, or units in a specified relationship to each other.
- Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.
- Package assemblies as required.
- Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
- Achieve production efficiency and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Rotate workstations according to business and production needs.
- Adhere to work schedules. 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, 5 days a week and 8 hours a day. With some mandatory overtime when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
- The position will not have direct reports.
$17.50 - $23 biweekly
Competencies/Qualifications
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Work under moderate supervision
- Rotate work areas as needed.
- Attention to detail and quality focus.

Physical Demands
Physical ability is essential in this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to climb ladders to extreme heights and should occasionally be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Work Environment
The work environmental characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.

All applicants should have a high school diploma or a GED.
