Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a capable worker to support ingredient handling on the 1st shift. You will record data, operate scales, unload feed ingredients, and perform quality analyses while following safety protocols.

You'll use hand tools for unloading and basic maintenance, work in hot and dusty environments, and be ready for shift-based hours including holidays.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Minimum 3 months work history or a High School education or equivalent.
• Willingness to work shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Must follow safety and biosecurity procedures.

Responsibilities

• Record data accurately and document incoming ingredients.
• Operate scales and document ingredients through the ticketing system.
• Unload feed ingredients and route to storage silos.
• Perform quality analysis on required incoming ingredients.
• Use hand tools for unloading and light maintenance.
• Work in hot, dusty, wet, and cold environments; observe safety rules.
• Support operations and communicate with vendors and customers as needed.

Job description

• Ability be able to operate scales and document incoming ingredients through the ticketing system
• Ability to operate equitment to unload feed ingredients and route to appropriate storage silo
• Ability to obtain and run quaility analysis on required incoming ingredients
• Ability to lift and use hand tools to assist in unloading of ingredients
• Ability to perform minor maintenance duties using hand tools
• Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
• Ability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
• Ability to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
• Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
• Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
• Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
• Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
• Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
• Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
