Central Package & Display in Minnesota is seeking 1st shift maintenance technicians to support corrugated and rigid box production. You will perform general maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and install new lines to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC/HMI skills, with flexibility for overtime and physical tasks common to plant maintenance.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in maintenance of corrugated packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation skills.
• Able to troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and production lines.
• Able to lift up to 40-50 pounds and work overtime as needed.
• Union environment experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, repairs) in the facility.
• Maintain and repair corrugated and folding carton equipment (die cutters, gluers).
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns including PLCs, HMIs, and data links.
• Install new equipment and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Adapt to changing tasks and stand/walk during shifts.

Corrugated & Rigid Box Plant - Opening for 1st Shift Maintenance Technicians

• Union Manufacturing Plant - join the union after 30 working days
• Manufacture corrugated and rigid box packaging and displays
• Full-time position available for 1st Shift - 6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M.
• Competitive Wages and benefits - Starting Wage Range $27.40-$38.82 depending on skill level and prior work experience.
• Responsible for general maintenance work in the facility such as basic plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Responsible for adjusting, repairing and maintaining corrugated and folding carton equipment such as Rotary Die Cutters, Flatbed Die Cutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, Specialty Folder Gluers, etc. in our production plant. This includes performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance, basic and complex repairs, and installation of new corrugated and rigid box equipment, as well as current plant systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns to include mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, data links, electricity and electronics.

• Essential functions include the ability to work full-time hours, with overtime when required.

• Excellent to advanced mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, electronics, and building maintenance skills and knowledge.

• Working knowledge to excellent skill level in programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, data links, and production/shipping machinery and equipment.

• Very strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Must be flexible with job duties assigned. The tasks assigned can and will change multiple times per day.
• Must be able to stand and walk short distances most of the shift.
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, pushing, & pulling for various tasks

• Good attendance and work ethic required.
• Prior experience in corrugated or folding carton maintenance preferred.
