Job summary

Detroit Diesel Remanufacturing LLC is offering an apprentice program that blends hands-on training with a company-paid Associate’s degree, spanning six years (four years of training and two years of placement) in electromechanical pathways.

Earn starting pay from $18.40 to $19.14 in Year 1, rising to $26.31 by Year 4, plus quarterly gainsharing, 401(k) match, vacation, holidays, tuition assistance and health benefits; relocation is not included.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation and use of power & hand tools.
• Able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 35 pounds with lift assist from a team member or use of hoist.
• Must maintain a clean work area.
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional candidates may have a High School Diploma or GED; current high school seniors may apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing duties including repetitive processes, lifting and operation of machinery following standard procedures.
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and machining practices.
