Job summary

DECKED is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Defiance, OH to maintain and optimize facilities, production machinery, and automated equipment. The role requires reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting PLCs, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of maintenance experience, an associate degree in a related field, and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent preferred.
3–5 years of machine and facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Strong ability reading schematics and ladder logic; 480V 3-phase power knowledge.
Experience with PLC I/O modules and safety interlocks; OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery to minimize downtime.
Read electrical schematics and ladder logic for installation and maintenance.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production lines and facilities.
Enforce lock-out/tag-out and safety protocols; respond to emergencies.
Maintain records of work orders, repairs, and inspections.
