Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Oklahoma City is seeking a Drill Press Operator to perform production work on a drill press under supervision of an experienced operator or lead.

You will read blueprints, set up and run parts to required tolerances, inspect first pieces and ongoing parts for quality, and keep the work area clean while following machine guarding rules. Physical ability to stand and lift up to 30 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Possess and use the appropriate inspection equipment to ensure the quality of the parts produced.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, push, pull and lift up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and produce parts to required tolerances.
• Perform first-piece inspections and ongoing inspections for quality.
• Maintain clean and safe work area; perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain simple productivity, quality and safety reports.
• Follow all machine guarding rules and operate the drill press safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
