Job Summary

Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services, inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Works under limited supervision, following written instructions and established procedures.
  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance services.
  • Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Uses vehicle electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
  • Estimates repair costs and requisitions parts.
  • Completes work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Responds to emergency breakdown service calls.
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
  • Documents work using fleet maintenance software.
  • Assists senior mechanics and reviews vehicle inspection reports.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without accommodations.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and physical tests.
Work Environment

Primarily in repair/maintenance shop, may involve exposure to dirt, noise, weather, chemicals, and physical risks. Reasonable accommodations available.
