Dorman Products is seeking an inventory counting associate to drive to various locations and physically count products. You will validate inventory, perform ERP transactions, and reconcile locations with hand scanners and scales.

The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds, adherence to safety PPE guidelines, and willingness to work overtime. High school diploma or GED is required.

Job Summary

Use motorized industrial equipment to drive to and from various locations to physically count product.

Primary Duties

• Validate physical inventory by counting bulk and finished good products
• Use of a PC or laptop to perform product inquires and product transactions in the ERP system
• Consolidation of product physically and systematically
• Use radio frequency hand held or truck mount scanning device to verify/update location and quantity of product
• Use of a weight/count scale to efficiently count large amounts of bulk product
• Other duties as assigned

• Physically and systematically re-slot existing product
• Operate motorized industrial equipment

• Operate within standard operating procedures
• Maintain neat, clean and well-organized work area

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds in proper manner
• Willing to work overtime as required
• Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Self-motivated and detail oriented
• Legible handwriting
• Good communication skills
• Ability to pass the motorized industrial equipment test and obtain license
• Safety shoes required (Company reimbursement up to $90)
• Computer experience a plus
• Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 60 pounds on a regular basis
• Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel items. Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months.

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
