Job summary

Methuen Public School District is seeking a Building Custodian for the 1st shift at Tenney Grammar School. The role includes cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing windows, changing light bulbs, lawn maintenance, snow removal, and maintenance of custodial equipment and building systems.

This is a twelve-month, forty-hour-per-week position under a custodial contract; interviews are by invitation only. The district remains an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Perform custodial duties including cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing, buffing and waxing floors, washing windows, changing light bulbs, policing grounds, sweeping walkways, cutting lawns, snow/ice removal, and basic repairs to building equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or its equivalent. Must be able to perform the following duties: cleaning, dusting, sweeping, washing, buffing and waxing floors, washing windows, changing light bulbs, policing grounds, sweeping walkways, cutting lawns, removing snow and ice, caring for custodial equipment, operating low pressure heating and ventilating systems, ordering custodial supplies, heating, lighting, ventilating and plumbing supplies and making minor repairs to building equipment and any other duties that come up within reason.

General Responsibilities: (Muni-Class 31642)

Responsible for performing designated custodial duties normally assigned to the building and any other duties which come up within reason.

Salary:

Subject to Custodial contract; twelve (12) months, forty (40) hour work week.
