Job summary

Kdc/one Northern Labs in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Change Over Crew to support safe and efficient line changeovers in a production environment. You will help ensure quality startup, perform basic maintenance, and assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work self-directed in a fast-paced team setting. Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Change Over Crew

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Description / Scope / Mission

• Efficiently changeover and C&S production lines in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Ensure setups/startups of production lines meets required quality specifications and standard rate of speed.

Conduct basic preventative maintenance on production lines.

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

1. The number one responsibility of this position is safety. Embrace and promote KDC safety, following all SOP’s.
2. Complete line changeovers in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
3. Conduct washouts and pre/post run sanitization.
4. Immediately respond to production line shutdown and administer mechanical support.
5. Implement improvements for production line startup and run consistency. Know how to run at published BPM or better than.
6. Repair production equipment as necessary
7. Ensure line changeovers meet standard rate of speed at startup.
8. Ensure line changeovers meet quality standards at startup.
9. Suggest and implement improvements in mechanical equipment resulting in increased production line speed or consistency.
10. Conduct routine preventative maintenance.
11. Provide engineering support for new products and new packaging startups.
12. Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas.
13. Know and understand how to wash out and get to next job as soon as possible, i.e. wash transfer lines before line goes down, if possible.
14. Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and process related deficiencies using technical/mechanical skills.
15. Working knowledge of all cGMP’s, FDA, OSHA, and ISO9000 regulations and guidelines.
16. Working knowledge of equipment manuals and technical documentation.
17. Understand their position in keeping the lines up and running efficiently.
18. Suggest and implement improvements for reducing changeover time.
19. Have knowledge of all machinery and set-ups.
20. Ability to work in a team environment, with a diverse group of personalities.
21. Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in a high-paced work environment.

24. Work with Production Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager to develop, improve, or enhance equipment, methods, processes, and materials for producing new and established products.
