Job summary

Donaldson Company Inc. seeks a CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines at our Dixon, IL facility. The 1st shift runs Monday–Thursday, 4:00 am to 2:00 pm, with responsibilities including drilling, grinding, milling, and turning while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus CNC training or certification and at least 1 year of CNC experience. Reading drawings, mechanical ability, and a manufacturing mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical training or certification in CNC machining.
• One or more years of CNC experience.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
• Mechanical ability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and secure placement.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues.
