Job summary

Mars Wrigley in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair equipment in a high production environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems, welding, fabrication, automation (PLC) and instrumentation across process and packaging lines.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 2+ years in industrial maintenance, with welding/fabrication experience and PLC familiarity.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
2+ years’ work experience related to industrial maintenance.
Experience in Welding, Advanced Machinist Skills and/or fabrication.
Fundamental understanding of Electrical systems and troubleshooting, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings.
Willingness to develop required technical skills.
Proficient with computers software’s included MS Office.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, repairing and overhauling equipment within close tolerances.
Advanced Pneumatic, Basic Hydraulic, AC/DC Electrical Systems, Automation (PLC and Instrumentation), Automation, Machining, and Mechanical Systems on all Process and Packaging Equipment (willing to train).
Perform routine electrical and mechanical problem-solving on process & packaging equipment.
Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM's) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) on Process & Packaging Equipment.
Support Operations in equipment setup, changeover and training of operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities.
Accurately document Work Orders (WO) using Computerized Maintenance Management System (SAP-PPM Plant Maintenance).
Active Engagement in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Theory and Concepts through participation in Pillar Teams, training fellow Technicians/Operators in Autonomous Maintenance (AM) activities to include conducting Breakdown Analysis (BDA’s)
Understand and adhere to Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) Procedures, Confined Space Procedures and all other Plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements related to supporting machinery uptime
Perform any adhoc requests as assigned.
