Job Title: 1st Shift Machine Operator

Seneca Foods, a leading provider of packaged fruits and vegetables in North America, is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator in Geneva, NY. Our products are sourced from over 2,000 American farms and distributed worldwide, under various brand names including Libbys, Aunt Nellies, and Seneca.

Position Overview:

This role involves operating and monitoring the label machine to ensure correct labeling and quality standards are maintained.

Shift Details:

Currently hiring for a 12-hour shift on the Alphabet Schedule. Training will be Monday - Friday. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and monitor the label machine
2. Ensure the correct labels are used
3. Identify and initiate adjustments for issues
4. Clean and lubricate the machine
5. Maintain proper housekeeping
6. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and understand instructions
• Good communication skills
• Judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions
• Ability to use small hand tools

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 months of experience or training; mechanical ability is a plus

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit, talk, hear, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant walking/standing on concrete or elevated surfaces are required.

Compensation:

Wage range: $19.00 to $31.50 per hour, based on skills and experience.
