Job summary

DePauw University is seeking a dedicated facility service attendant for the main Greencastle campus. The role focuses on maintaining interior building cleanliness across common areas, restrooms, offices and classrooms, with daily interaction with campus members.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of custodial or related front-line experience, with strong communication skills and teamwork. Benefits include employee discounts and free parking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year custodial or front-line customer service experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Gmail/Google and Outlook.
• Familiarity with Workday timekeeping system.

Responsibilities

• Daily trash and recycling removal from campus buildings.
• Daily cleaning of restrooms and public spaces.
• Daily locking and unlocking of buildings and spaces.
• Daily sweeping, dusting, mopping and general cleaning of multiple floors, walls and surfaces.
• Occasional removal and application of floor waxes and protectants.
• Occasional washing of windows, both interior and exterior cleaning.
• Other duties as assigned.
