Job summary

Sierra Bullets, LLC in Sedalia, MO is seeking a production operator to set up, operate, and maintain bullet presses. You will follow SOPs, report information, and train new Bullet LTS as needed.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical background, basic math skills, and the ability to work well with others in a manufacturing environment. This on-site role requires lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Score of 17+ on the Sierra Bullets Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Mechanical background in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot tooling and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production area to established quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot tooling and machinery in the production area.
• Accurately report production-related information using computer or manual forms.
• May be asked to train new Bullet LTS.
• Provide clear communication with Bullet Lead and Production Supervisors about activity and issues.
• Follow all safety SOPs and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Set up, operate efficiently, and maintain Sierra Bullets bullet presses.

Essential Functions of the Job (listed in order of importance):

• Work safety at all times.
• Strictly adhere to all Company SOPs and policies.
• Operate assigned production area, daily, to established standards of quality, and productivity.
• Resolve production problems in a timely manner in assigned production area while improving quality and productivity.
• Provide clear and consistent communication with the Bullet Lead and Production Supervisors regarding all activity and issues relating to the assigned Production area.
• Accurately report all production related information on a timely basis using computer or manual form.
• May be asked to train new Bullet LTS.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required To Perform The Duties Of The Job

• Working knowledge of decimals, fractions, and basic mathematics.
• Mechanical ability to troubleshoot tooling and machinery.
• Ability to perform tool and machine part adjustments.
• Ability to perform close tolerance and detailed mechanical work.

Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Score of 17 or higher on the Sierra Bullets Mechanical Aptitude Test.

Physical Requirements To Perform The Duties Of The Job

• Able to lift 30lbs.
• Able to stand, twist, stoop, kneel, and bend for long periods of time.
