Job summary

Wood Violet Recovery in Dodgeville, WI is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support clients on their recovery journey in a residential treatment setting. You will assist with intake, coordinate transportation, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment across shifts.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and the ability to work with diverse individuals in a fast-paced team. Weekend/holiday availability is expected, with a 1st shift schedule option.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Welcoming new clients and assisting with intake, including tours, paperwork, and orientation.
• Providing transportation to appointments, airports, community outings, and other activities.
• Conducting routine wellness checks and obtaining vital signs.
• Monitoring client safety and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Documenting observations, interactions, and client progress accurately.
• Supporting clients through challenging moments with professionalism and empathy.
• Assisting with recreational activities, community events, and engagement opportunities.
• Collaborating with nursing, clinical, and operations teams to ensure exceptional client care.
• Responding during emergencies and following safety procedures.

Schedule:
Currently hiring for:

• 1st shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm
  • Sunday through Thursday
  • Tuesday through Saturday

Some weekend and holiday availability is required.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
We want our team to be dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• The ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred:

• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, healthcare, social services, customer service, or related fields.
