Job summary

Tarter Gate Company, LLC in Dunnville, KY is seeking a full-time load yard associate responsible for banding and securing products on trailers, ensuring safe handling and efficient loading.

You will work outside in all weather, lift up to 40 pounds, climb up to 14 feet, and maintain a clean work area while following forklift operator instructions and company safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Experience with loading and banding products on trailers.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Band all products in sub-bundles per forklift operator instructions.
• Band main bundles to poles of trailer without damage.
• Band all loose products to poles of trailer without damage.
• Strap load with 4" or 2" straps, provided by owner of trailer, without damage to the product.
• Responsible for keeping up with banding tools and keeping them in good working conditions.
• Pick up scrap banding and keep the work area clean.
• Touch up paint (before loading on trailer - as required)
• Maintain clean/tidy work area.
• Stay in designated work area.
• Work until 10 minutes before quitting time and then secure banding tools.
• Any product damaged due to banding or strapping, report to gate counter, forklift operator, team lead, supervisor, or plant manager.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds routinely and climb up to 14' off the ground.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Banding and loading products onto trailers to be transported.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):
