Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA, is seeking an Assembler II - Framing to fabricate and assemble frames for refrigeration systems, following blueprints and schematic drawings. You will read job orders and bills of materials, assemble sheet metal parts, install electrical wiring and controls as needed, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting production needs.

This hourly, first-shift position requires teamwork, attentiveness to quality, and the ability to use hand and power tools.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
  • Proficiency with handheld tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, text, or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components such as tubing, or piping needed to build equipment
  • Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
  • May assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devices
  • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screw gun, and other tools required for the job
  • Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
  • Perform assembly-type functions using hand or power tools
  • Use information on material gauging and dimensioning
  • Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
  • Fasten parts with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
  • Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
  • Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on the product line
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

Framing fabricates and assembles frames for refrigeration systems for environmental test equipment according to blueprints and schematic drawings and knowledge of refrigeration systems.

What youll be responsible for in this role:
  • Read blueprints, text, or schematic drawings to determine location, size, capacity and type of components such as tubing, or piping needed to build equipment
  • Read and comprehend a job order and bill of materials
  • May assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, coils, controls, and recording devices
  • Required to fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts using drill, screw gun, and other tools required for the job
  • Identify power and hand tools used on their assigned product line
  • Performs any assembly-type function, using hand or power tools
  • Utilize appropriate information given on material gauging and dimensioning
  • Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, and other measuring instruments
  • Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or fasteners
  • Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
