Job summary

Pratt is seeking a 1st Machine Helper in Conyers to assist the Operator with machine setup, operation, and quality control. You will stand in for the Operator when absent and help ensure orders meet specifications.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, ability to lift to 70 lbs, and willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts. Training and benefits are provided, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform a complete mechanical set up.
• Must be able to register the machine accurately.
• Must be able to operate the feed, folding and delivery sections of the machine.
• Must have a reasonable knowledge of current Production Software.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure crew members adhere to all safe work policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Assist in proper mechanical setup and running of the machine.
• Assist in ensuring orders are completed to specifications.
• Maintain acceptable production rates.
• Complete paperwork and data entry as required.
• Assist in training crew members and learn to act as operator when absent.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

LOCATION: Millugator

2nd & 3rd Shifts

SUMMARY: Assists the Operator in overseeing all aspects of machine operation and assists in the manufacture of the items produced while assigned to the machine. Acts as the Operator when the Operator is absent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES –

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -

• High School Diploma or higher preferred (but not required)

LANGUAGE SKILLS -

• Needs a working understanding of both written & spoken English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS –

• Must be able to read & use a non metric measuring tape
• Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
