Responsibilities

• Demonstrates teaching skills and knowledge in assigned academic area.
• Instructs pupils in basic subject matter and follows district regulations.
• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Prepares schedules, lesson plans and seating charts for substitute teachers.
• Evaluates pupil progress and maintains records and reports; protects student confidentiality.
• Maintains communication with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Maintains a positive learning environment and collaborates with staff and community partners.
• Supports district policies and assists other staff as needed.
