Qualifications

• CERTIFICATION: Appropriate certification and highly qualified requirements.
• Preschool Requirements: Documentation of a negative Mantoux skin test or other tuberculosis-screening test recommended by the US Centers for Disease Control administered within 12 months before the starting date of employment.
• A Food Handler's Card authorized through the Arizona Department of Health prior to the starting date of employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in subject area and curriculum development to include scope and sequence.
• Communicates effectively with students and promotes mutual respect; maintains a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Submits weekly lesson plans with goals, objectives and activities; assesses students' skills levels to determine objectives.
• Provides instruction at appropriate levels; uses varied instructional techniques and models correct performance.
• Uses learning objectives to focus student learning and monitors progress with objective criteria.
• Manages classroom behavior using the district's discipline procedures and maintains professional standards.
