Qualifications

• Active and current state of Michigan teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching based on observation and action planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
• Experience supervising students in different school settings (playground, cafeteria, etc.).
• Experience teaching in urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with modifications as needed.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress.
• Utilize research-based practices in daily planning and instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.

• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families.
• Participate in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
