Job summary

Lamphere Schools is hiring an Elementary Teacher for 1st grade at Hiller Elementary School. Compensation will be at the appropriate step on the Teachers’ Salary Schedule. This position requires a Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate and a strong commitment to student learning.

Selected candidates must pass a district fingerprint history check; district policies emphasize non-discrimination and professional conduct, with two weeks parental leave and collaborative work with families and staff.

Qualifications

Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate, required.
Knowledge of elementary student expectations across academic, social, emotional and behavioral milestones.
Experience with Reading, Writing and Math Workshop models.
Experience using student data to guide instruction in all subjects.
Strong commitment to educating students.
Ability to create lesson plans and apply instructional strategies for diverse classrooms.
Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, administrators, students and parents.
Proficiency in Google Suite applications and online sourcing tools.
