As a 1st Grade Teacher, you will develop lesson plans aligned with established guidelines, establish rapport with students, staff, and parents, and motivate students to develop essential skills and knowledge, providing a strong educational foundation tailored to each student's abilities.
How You Will Impact Education
Instruction/Education Responsibilities
- Plan and implement instruction following the company's philosophy, goals, and curriculum guidelines.
- Create purposeful lesson plans with effective teaching strategies to maximize student engagement.
- Present subject matter using real-world examples to enhance learning.
- Review student records to understand individual abilities and needs; maintain accurate records.
- Maximize each student's educational achievement using varied learning modalities and differentiated instruction.
- Use diagnostic assessments regularly and provide feedback through progress reports.
- Refer students with learning difficulties to support staff and review student work and presentations.
- Coordinate class field trips and prepare students for state assessments.
- Stay current with subject matter knowledge and contribute to curriculum development.
- Assist in curriculum revision and selection of instructional materials.
- Identify and utilize supplemental services to support student learning.
Provide a Classroom Environment Conducive to Learning
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with students and demonstrate patience and nurturing.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom with student work on display.
- Establish and enforce classroom and playground rules fairly and consistently.
Instructional Planning
- Develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Design individual and group activities to meet instructional goals.
- Prepare thoroughly for each class and participate in curriculum planning meetings.
- Incorporate diagnostic information from IEPs into planning and ensure resource safety.
School/Community Relations
- Build cooperative relationships and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and participate in parent engagement activities.
- Engage in extracurricular activities to promote a positive school culture.
Required Qualifications And Skills

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent; valid teaching certification.
- 1-3 years of successful teaching experience, including internships.
- Knowledge of learning theories, motivation, reinforcement, and evaluation techniques.

- Effective instructional delivery and adherence to ethical standards.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
