FXA is seeking an academically rigorous, faith-filled 1st Grade Teacher for our in-class days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 1st Grade Teacher will use provided lesson plans and texts to lead academic instruction, integrate a vibrant Catholic worldview across disciplines, and build excitement in learning.
Teach all core academic subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, History, and Religion.
Feedback & Mastery: Provide thorough and timely feedback on student work submitted from home days to gauge student understanding and adjust classroom instruction accordingly.
Bosconian Mentorship: Act as a joyful mentor to students, utilizing St. John Bosco's educational approach of gentle accompaniment and mutual respect.
Build relationships with families and encourage them in their home education days.
Practicing Catholic with a strong comfort level integrating the Catholic faith across diverse academic disciplines.
Bachelor's degree in education or similar field; teaching license preferred.
Clear communication skills.
