Job summary

V.Group (V.Ships) seeks a 1st Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Embarkation is ASAP with a 12 weeks on/off contract.

You must have prior ETO experience on cruise ships, STCW certificates, and an ETO CoC per STCW III/6, along with a proven performance record and strong recommendations. This position reports to the Chief Electro Technical Officer and Chief Engineer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as ETO on board cruise ships.
• All valid STCW certificates, ETO CoC per STCW Reg.III/6.
• Strong employment record with positive evaluations or recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of electrical plant and related systems as designated by CTO/Chief Engineer.
• Oversee Electrical Power Generation and Distribution (Medium/Low Voltage).
• Assist with Vessel Propulsion Plant maintenance and repair under guidance.
• Support Elevator System, Safety Systems and Communications System as required.

Job Summary

• The 1st Electro Technical Officer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the electrical plant and associated electrical systems as designated by the Chief Electro Technical Officer and Chief Engineer.

Responsibility and Authority

• Assume personal responsibility for safety and NCLH’s impact upon the environment.
• Regular reporting to update Chief Engineer/Chief Electro Technical Officer of any issues with the electrical system under his/her responsibility.
• Specific Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to the following:
• Electrical Power Generation.
• Electrical Power Distribution – Including Medium Voltage and Low Voltage.
• Engine Room Electrical Plant – Including Starter Panels and Automation.
• Under the instruction and guidance of the Chief Electro Technical Officer assist in the maintenance and repair of the Vessel’s Propulsion Plant.
• Under the instruction of the Chief Electro Technical Officer be available to assist with the Vessel’s Elevator System, Safety Systems and Communication System.
