SUMMARY

Sets up and operates heavy duty power press to bend, form, stretch, punch and straighten metal plates, metal extrusions, formed sheet metal, structural shapes, tubing, forgings, and weldments by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plans sequence of bends and programs CNC control accordingly.
  • Selects and positions proper tooling into ram and bed of machine.
  • Lifts and positions workpiece between dies of machine.
  • Starts machine to lower ram which bends workpiece between dies.
  • Repositions workpiece and changes dies when making multiple or successive passes. Hand forms or finishes workpiece.
  • Operates other equipment in the area.
  • Inspects finished workpiece.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
  • All other duties as assigned
