Job summary

General Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Production Forklift Operator to ensure materials and products are at the right place for maximum efficiency. You will operate a sit-down forklift with emphasis on safety and accuracy, moving stock, labeling pallets, and supporting production through efficient material handling.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 2:45pm–11:15pm, with potential extended hours or weekends. Qualifications include forklift experience and the ability to pass training, with bilingual

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass forklift training certification (driving and written).
• Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Transport raw materials, resin and supplies to production workstations.
• Verify packaging labels are correct with the Work Order posted at the Operator stand and label finished products pallets.
• Place finished goods to proper staging aisle in the warehouse.
• Visually inspect forklifts for damages or hydraulic leaks, verify horn is in good working condition and the backup audible alarm is working before the start of every shift.
• Drain material from machine hoppers, weigh box and return to materials area.
• Weigh and scale finished product pallets, materials, resins that are being returned to warehouse.
• Comply with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
• Reports to shift supervisor

As an Production Forklift Operator you are responsible for assuring that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. You are expected to operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Experience operating a sit down forklift
• Must be able to pass our forklift training certification (driving and written)
• Must be able to identify material
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have your own reliable transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must be flexible and able to work extended shifts and/or weekends

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, (May have to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed)
• 2nd Shift Hours 2:45pm to 11:15pm
