Barrett Petfood in Little Falls, Minnesota is hiring a Full-Time Forklift Driver to move materials on the production floor, maintain safety standards, and support packaging and shipping. You will operate forklifts, perform daily inspections, and ensure accurate inventory in Plex ERP.

What It's Like To Be a Forklift Driver

As a new Full-Time Forklift Driver at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a dynamic work environment where your contributions play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. Your daily responsibilities will include operating forklifts to move materials efficiently and safely throughout the facility, ensuring that production lines are well-stocked and running smoothly. You’ll be charged with conducting routine inspections of equipment to maintain safety standards and collaborating with team members to resolve any logistical challenges that may arise.

Available Schedules

• 1ST SHIFT MON - FRI 6AM - 230PM
• 2ND SHIFT MON - FRI 2PM -1030PM (+$1.50 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL)

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Utilize Barrett's ERP system, Plex, for location of bulk product
• Ensure quality of bulk product by inspecting product prior to movement
• Scan bulk product onto the packaging line it will hang on
• Safely hang 2,000lb bulk product on the packaging line & notify the packaging operator
• Weigh any bulk product that did not get packaged into smaller bags & report it to the packaging operator
• Ensure FIFO
• Enter product information & print labels for pallets in our ERP system, Plex
• Screen kibble as necessary
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete paperwork
• Wrap & transport finished pallets to the warehouse & stage for shipping
• Count and check orders as they are packaged for accuracy

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
