Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $17.50/hr

Position Summary:

The Bagger Operator is part of a rotating position within the production plant. Primary responsibility is running the bagger which produces 50 lb. bales of Hydro Mulch. Some secondary responsibilities include looking for imperfections in packaging as it goes down the production line and removing any bags that are not perfect, cutting open defective bales and placing them in our reprocessing bin, driving a forklift (training provided), and general housekeeping duties.

Duties And Responsibilities:
  • Operate bagger safely and efficiently
  • Maintain preset production goals
  • Remove out-of-spec bags and hand stack for reprocessing
  • Cut open rejected bales for reprocessing
  • Operate forklift to load and store bags
  • Perform general housekeeping duties
  • Perform additional duties as required
Job Requirements:
  • Able to obtain forklift certification (training provided)
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Essential Qualifications:
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate them when appropriate
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
  • Time management skills
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position
  • The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills
Work Environment:
  • This position works in a manufacturing setting
  • Must be able to adapt to the noise level of a manufacturing setting, which is usually moderate to heavy
  • The temperature will vary from hot to cold, depending on the weather
