Job description

High Profile Banking in Manhattan seeks a Commercial Lending Loan Review Officer with a strong credit risk background.

This is a tremendous full-time, direct hire career opportunity with an international organization that offers a great work environment, interesting projects, and competitive compensation ($90-100K+ bonus).

In this role, you will perform independent loan reviews to evaluate the creditworthiness of obligors and/or credit facilities, and to assign risk ratings. Your assessments will provide an independent, periodic, and objective evaluation of the underlying credit by analyzing financial statements and other external data obtained from external sources.

You will also assist with developing quantitative analyses to assess credit risk at the portfolio level for the bank. This will involve consulting with other areas in the development and maintenance of quantitative analysis processes.

Other responsibilities include:

• Maintaining an advanced understanding of credit risk policies, regulatory requirements, and contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of credit risk analysis processes and methodologies.

Requirements include:

• At least 3 years of commercial lending credit risk analysis or review experience, including syndicated leveraged loans and project financing.
• A college degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CFA candidacy, CFA charter, or FRM certification holders are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis.
• Good understanding of other risk areas such as Market Risk and Operational Risk.
• Hands-on experience with Excel and other analytical tools.
