Job summary

The Wiseguy Lounge is seeking an experienced Bartender in Covington, KY to craft premier cocktails for a sophisticated audience. You will educate guests on bourbon selections, manage a busy bar, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a proven track record in bartending, extensive bourbon knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights. TIPS/SERVSafe certification within 30 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior craft cocktail-making skills.
• Extensive knowledge of bourbon and ability to educate customers about selections.
• Completion of mixology, bar-keeping, or related training preferred.
• Advanced bartending skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide the best and highest quality craft cocktails and drinks to guests.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of bourbon and assist customers in selections.
• Deliver the highest level of customer service, greeting and thanking guests, engaging with guests, and building rapport.
• Continuously train and learn about the alcohol industry.
• Maintain the bar; keep it clean and organized throughout the shift.
• Prepare garnishes ahead of opening and display glasses and liquor bottles attractively.
• Ensure guests are of legal drinking age and refuse service when necessary.
• Escalate issues to the Head Bartender and Bar Manager as needed.
• Submit orders or requisition forms for liquor, beer, and bar supplies.
• Hold TIPS or SERVSafe in Safe Service of Alcohol within 30 days of employment.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Collaborate with the team for smooth bar operations.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety procedures and protocols.
• Open and close the store while maintaining guest safety and security.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends and late nights.
