Job Description

This position involves the following major responsibilities:

1. Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
2. Ensure regular, reliable attendance as an essential function.
3. Wrap, label, and price products.
4. Prepare products for the service meat case.
5. Engage in suggestive selling and product sampling.
6. Receive products from the warehouse.
7. Stock, straighten, and rotate products in meat cases and coolers.
8. Read and understand shelf tags.
9. Follow company safety guidelines when using equipment.
10. Provide customers with proper cooking instructions.
11. Maintain proper temperature controls for coolers, freezers, and the cutting room.
12. Keep work areas, equipment, and meat cases clean following safety and sanitation guidelines.
13. Pull product from the service meat case for proper storage at closing.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Training

Training will be provided at the store level.

Physical Demands

• Bending, stooping, and working in a cold, wet environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Work on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours).

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks for store/facility teammates (preferred).
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks for store support center teammates (preferred).
• Must be in good standing (not on performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, manager approval based on performance is required.
