Job Description

This is not an official job description, but outlines major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform. The position of Coffee Bar Clerk includes the following duties:

1. Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
2. Maintain regular, reliable attendance
3. Greet customers prior to filling their orders
4. Brew varieties of coffee and create specialty drinks including smoothies
5. Suggestive selling and product sampling
6. Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and cases, following safety and sanitation procedures
7. Read and understand shelf tags and signage
8. Operate a cash terminal
9. Follow all opening and closing procedures within the department
10. Perform other duties as assigned by store management

Training

Training will be provided at the store level.

Physical Demands

• Bending
• Stooping
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Work on feet for 4-8 hour shifts

Additional Requirements - Internal Candidates

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
