Job Description

This position involves the following responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Wrap, label, and price products
• Prepare products for the meat case
• Suggestive selling and product sampling
• Receive products from warehouse
• Stock, straighten, and rotate products in meat cases and coolers
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Follow safety guidelines when using equipment
• Provide customers with proper cooking instructions
• Maintain proper temperature controls for coolers, freezers, and the cutting room
• Keep work area, equipment, and meat cases clean following safety and sanitation guidelines
• At closing, store products properly
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Training

Training will be provided at the store level.

Physical Demands

• Bending and stooping
• Work in cold, wet environments
• Lift up to 75 pounds
• Stand for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates

• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks for store/facility teammates
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks for store support center teammates
• Must be in good standing
• Manager approval required for interviews based on performance
