Job summary

Schnucks in Montvale, NJ is seeking a part-time customer service teammate. You will assist customers, bag groceries, and help maintain a clean store environment. Weekend availability and reliable attendance are required.

The role offers roughly 20+ hours per week with a starting pay around the market rate for part-time positions. Training is provided at store level and benefits may apply.

Job description

Job Description Candidates MUST be available between 7am-5pm and weekends to be considered. This role is offering about 20 or more hours per week. This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform.

You could expect the position of a customer service person to include the following:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Place customers’ purchases into bags
• Place filled bags in cart
• Carry customers purchase to cars
• Retrieve carts from parking lot
• Pick up paper and debris in the store, from parking lot, and from carts
• Stock bags on check stands
• Empty trash from check stands and service center
• Sweep and mop floors
• Return merchandise left at check-out to shelves
• Read and understand shelf tags
• Verify prices of merchandise

Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the store management

Training Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Bending Stooping Must be able to push 3 to 5 carts at a time Able to work outside in seasonal weather Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Working on feet for entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred. Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline). If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
