JOB SUMMARY

The Cashier plays a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service to F&B guests, fostering a welcoming environment, and accurately processing transactions in a fast-paced setting.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Processes all payment methods in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
  • Follows property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops).
  • Obtains assigned bank and ensures accuracy of contracted monies, obtaining change required for expected business level, and keeping bank secure at all times.
  • Counts bank at end of shift, completes designated cashier reports, resolves any discrepancies, drops off receipts, and secures bank.
  • Transports bank to and from assigned workstation.
  • Sets up and organizes cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials; and maintains cleanliness of workstation at all times.
  • Completes opening duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, including bank, and ensuring everything is in working order.
  • Follows all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintains confidentiality of proprietary information, and protects company assets.
  • Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards, anticipates and addresses guests' service needs, and thanks guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Speaks with others using clear and professional language, and answers telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, and supports team to reach common goals.
  • Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Enters and locates work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
  • Stands, sits, or walks for an extended period of time.
  • Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Food Handler's Card - must be state/county-specific (to be obtained within six (6) weeks of hire).

SKILLS & ABILITIES

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions, as well as, knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
