Job summary

Schnucks in Missouri is seeking a checker to provide friendly, courteous service, greet customers, and accurately scan purchases. The role includes handling various payment options and critical cash-handling duties, with emphasis on reliability and accuracy.

Training will be provided at store level. The job requires good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with working hours that may involve standing for 4–8 hours per shift.

• Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options.
• Complete register record accurately
• Practice and maintain cash security
• Bag customer orders
• Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Additional Requirements – Internal Candidates:

• Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
