Job summary

Sigma Defense in San Diego, CA, seeks an Application Systems Integration Engineer III to lead integration solution analyses and automation efforts. You will coordinate with network engineers, prepare HACSIM updates, and drive CI/CD for CANES hosted systems.

Requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, a BS degree, and an active Secret clearance or eligibility. Proficiency with OpenShift, VMware, Linux, Windows, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Terraform/IaC, and related tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Security+ CE or CISSP certification preferred
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Identify areas for improvement and lead execution of plans
• Elaborate integration requirements gathered by Application Engineer
• Act as liaison between Network POR Systems Engineering/tester and provider
• Develop integration solutions and HACSIM documentation
• Support application/system testing and mitigate issues
• Participate in reviews and change documents (SCN, SCD, RFC, ECN, FRCB, FCs)
• Maintain and validate engineering mockups of tactical networks
• Document repeatable integration processes
• Manage integration points: AD/OpenAM, MS Exchange, VMWare, AWS, OpenShift, IIS, JBOSS, Cisco ISE, Group Policy
• Automate processes with PowerShell and Ansible; use Git/Bitbucket

Sigma Defense is seeking an Application Systems Integration Engineer III to join our team in San Diego, CA. The Integration Engineer (IE) is responsible for providing detailed integration solution analysis during the ASI Process.

• 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as a Service or Infrastructure as Code (IaaS/IaC).
• Experience with integration with tactical data feeds.
• Experience with Multicast video.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)

• Candidate will identify areas for improvement, innovation, simplification and subsequently take the lead on executing on those plans.
• Elaboration of integration requirements initially gathered by the Application Engineer.
• Act as liaison between Network POR Systems Engineering/tester and application provider.
• Develop integration solutions and prepare Network POR design documentation, such as the HACSIM (CANES) to include all updates and development of the HACSIM pre and post test as well as fleet HACSIM updates.
• Support application/system testing in lab and mitigate any integration issues.
• Participate in technical reviews and assist in development/revision of specifications, Specification Change Notices (SCN), Ship Change Documents (SCD), Request for Changes (RFC), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Fleet Readiness Certification Boards (FRCB), Field Changes (FCs).
• Maintain and validate engineering mockups of tactical network systems.
• Responsible for documenting repeatable processes and procedures for these integrations.
• Integration points: Active Directory and OpenAM, MS Exchange, VMWare, AWS, OpenShift, MS Systems Center solutions, System Incident and Events Management, IIS, JBOSS, Cisco Integrated Services Engine, and Group Policy Management.
• Responsible for automating these processes using PowerShell and Ansible along with Git/BitBucket for script and configuration data management.
• Work will comprise the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) of the CANES Hosted and Connected Systems Integration Manual (HACSIM). The HACSIM ASI Automation Tool is a complex product.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
