Job summary

Sigma Defense Systems in Fairmont, WV is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on developing and testing software for electronic warfare systems, with emphasis on robust C++/Python code and Secure, Linux-driven environments.

You will work in a structured, multidisciplinary team to translate requirements into design, implement specifications, and support system installation and testing.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience software engineering/development using Git based tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Support programs related to electronic warfare systems.
• Work in a structured, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Develop requirements and design specifications.
• Implement developed system specifications, test plans, and procedures.
• Perform system testing and installation support.

Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience software engineering/development using Git based tools.
• Proficiency with C++, Python, and Bash scripting in a Linux operating environment.
• Working knowledge of virtualization and containerization.
• Math or physics background is desired.
• Interest and understanding of RF signals and radar technologies.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $105,000 annually.
